heys pple.
hooray marathon's over!
i can feel the fatigue coming from everyone. and bear in mind, it's all worth it. first time we rowed a distance we've never rowed before. 22km, it's not easy. especially vincent and weikok. 36km, 3 cheers for them!!
as i said, enjoy the whole process, remember the whole process of the marathon, the outcome is not the most important of all.
yes, the outcome is harsh, we lost everything, everything we hoped for, we did not achieve.
however...
ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO.
there are more races lined up for us,
the junior championships and the A divisions.
take this marathon as a stepping stone, a stepping stone to success.
failure is inevitable in everyone's success,
but to achieve it,
we need to believe,
we need to persevere,
WE WILL WIN.
if im determined to win, if i can believe, if i can survive,
i'll make sure we'll take this step together,
we'll continue running on this path together,
for we are the Nanyang Kayak Racing Team.
ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE.
deep down from my heart, I'M PROUD OF ALL OF US!!
most importantly now, rest well and drink lots of water!! tough trainings will be resuming soon=)

- turn at e 2nd pillar counting fr e right (go around e whole pillar)
2) MARINA BARRAGE
- take shortest route to Marina Barrage
- there'll be 3 red buoys (triangular shaped)
- turn & continue to the right side of Sheares (YOUR extreme right)
3) SUSPENSION BRIDGE
- take e shortest route to Suspension Bridge
- go through e centre and AVOID e side pillars
- turn around e 3 red buoys
- go past Oasis Beach
that will mark the
END OF FIRST ROUND.
4) NICOLL HIGHWAY (start of 2nd round)
- go around e 2 pink buoys (which u always see there)
- head straight for PORTEGE
(do whatever you can at this point to ATTRACT ATTENTION! if not you'll have to go another round!)

hey nycanoeists,
chem lecture test on friday!! those who have chem.. come on jiayou jiayou study hard!! but dun forget to train while mugging hard=X and dont forget our projects, i trust that all of us can finish it at our own time, so JUST DO IT.
so.. training's very tiring. especially when we are training for marathon. so ALL OF YOU, EAT AND REST PROPERLY, AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER!
marathon.. 22km.. how long is that? we all are aware of it's distance.
but always remember:
dont think about the distance,
dont fret about whether we can complete it or not.
think of how are we enjoying the whole process of rowing altho it's tiring.
think of how are we going to emerge the champion.
anyways,
jiehuang told me,
NO DISTANCE SHALL KEEP US APART.
a super short distance between us,
reminds everyone on how close the team is,
support one another when they are falling!!
mug hard, row with ur life.

survive every training we have,
survive the mental stress we feel,
survive the huge weight on our shoulders,
SURVIVE THE WHOLE PROCESS!!!
for we know,
every moment,
the whole team is behind us,
the whole team is there for us.

dear nycanoeists,
im very glad to see so many of u turn down all ur sunday appointments and came for training. i know it was very abruptly organised, apologies for that. for those who did not turn up, dont worry! it's alright de. we have more trainings up ahead for the whole team to train.
i know everything is coming down hard on us, but i really need u to hold on. we must not leave anyone behind, if we win, we win as a team, as a small but great team of 14 canoeists! no less than 14.
our mentality and willpower is already there, but i hope i can see all these being put into great use whenever we have water trainings. it's not like we train alot then we can win, it's how are we going to make use of our mental strength in everything we do. it's ALL THE SMALL THINGS which determine the champion, and the loser. even in our usual water trainings, i hope to see people start rowing as best as they can, push ourselves to the limits! ROW WITH YOUR LIFE!*in chinese =X
loves always,
~junhong.

dear nycanoeists,
i'm realli very happy to see all of you training so hard and united. our kayak spirit... i can feel the fire burning once again. it'll be burning at the strongest flame from now till forever. even after our A levels, we will still feel the nykrt spirit, and we'll still be best friends for life.
training will be very tough now. we will start planning "hell" trainings whenever we can get to train together. the other days, do it at ur own pace and always look up and tell urself, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!
giving up has never been a choice in any of our minds. every drop of sweat we drip on the ground, every step we run forward together, every encouragement we shout, every bit of muscle we trained up, every laugh we joked about, every word we promised... we are a step closer to the A divisions, TO BRING HOME GLORY!!
jus for all of ur information, i will be conducting fitness tests as and when i feel it's neccessary. bear in mind they are all fitness tests, so there will definitely be penalties if we did not live up to expectations. so everyone!! turn on top gear and train hard!!
FOR OUR TEAM!! FOR OURSELVES!! FOR CHAMPION!! FOR GLORY!!
oh ya, dont forget to study hard while training hard=) need me to organise after school nykrt study programme? hahas.
alrite it's late. go rest ba!!

Marathon, A' Divisions, National Juniors.
and the Trophies on the table.
Thats all we have left. lets make it OURS.
We, are NANYANG KAYAKERS.
21:29
my dearest nycanoeists,
i know it will be hard for all of us to accept the fact that kayak racing team is closing down, but do not take it too hard. REMEMBER: our team of 14, we share weals and woes together, we share happiness together, we share sadness together. we might have fallen, but we stood up once again. our spirit will never die, and this spirit... let's bring it into all our upcoming competitions. BRING OUT THE CHAMPION IN YOU!!!
if u have to cry, cry it out. the cca has fallen, but the team still stays strong and unbeatable. hold on to the team, we'll always be the pillar of strength, and will never let anyone of you fall, we'll never leave anyone behind.
after everything, after the hardest truth. i'm really delighted on seeing all your smiles once again. i'm really impressed on seeing all of your willpower and mentality building up once again after the fall. and i'm very excited to see how our spirit, willpower and mentality will make us the champion on any water we row.
IF WE HOLD ON TOGETHER, I KNOW OUR DREAMS WILL NEVER DIE. let this sentence be imprinted upon your mind, your heart, and your soul. CHAMPION. let this word be the first word you see whenever you open your eyes on any water we row. NANYANG JC KAYAK RACING TEAM. let this be the words we see whenever we cross any finish line.
i take your word for it. do not ask yourself anymore whether we are going to win the competition or not. WE SHOUTED YES. it's a promise made. a promise we made to the team, a promise we made to ourselves.
trust me, trust da ge... WE WILL WIN IT FOR OURSELVES, FOR THE TEAM, AND FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO SUPPORTS US.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!! WE CAN DO IT!!! GLORY LASTS FOREVER!! LONG LIVE NANYANG JC KAYAK RACING TEAM!!

my dearest teammates!
nykrt is never gonna close down! we will do all we can as the fortress to defend our passion, sweat and life. 3 years of this cca may seem short to others, but to us, we have come thus far and i know all of us will fight for what we are!
let's prove our worth as nykrt, one way is the kayak marathon at kallang river: OUR HOMEGROUND!! JIAYOU JIAYOU!!
in the meantime while worrying about this matter, pls do focus on ur homeworks and studies too, try ur best not to let it affect us too much. and remember no matter what happens, look at everything with a positive thinking. we still have us.
so it seems the going is getting tough for us, but WE, THE TOUGHEST, GETS GOING!!
